Jaguar C-X16

he Jaguar C-X16 is a concept hybrid electric sports car that was unveiled by Jaguar Cars at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show on 13 September
The car body is constructed from aluminium, and - at 4,445 mm (175.0 in) long, 2,048 mm (80.6 in) wide and 1,297 mm (51.1 in) high - is said by Jaguar to be the smallest car that they have made since the XK120 of 1954. The drivetrain comprises a hybrid unit, combining a 375 bhp (280 kW; 380 PS) 332 lb·ft (450 N·m) supercharged 3-litre V6 petrol engine with a 92 bhp (69 kW; 93 PS) 173 lb·ft (235 N·m) electric motor and an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission. The battery pack, which is mounted behind the front seats, is charged using a brake regeneration system. The car can run on engine alone, motor alone or on both in combination. Under engine power, the electric motor can also be activated to boost acceleration, in a similar way to the KERS system used in Formula 1 cars, by using a switch on the steering wheel.

Koenigsegg Agera

The Koenigsegg Agera is a mid-engined sports car made by Swedish car manufacturer Koenigsegg as of 2011. It is a successor to the Koenigsegg CCX/CCXR. The name Agera comes from the Swedish verb 'agera' which means "to act” or "to take action".
It was named Hypercar of the Year in 2010 by Top Gear Magazine.
In early development the car was fitted with a 4.7-litre V8 engine with twin fixed-vane turbos, but it was replaced with a 5.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine for the production version of the car. It does 0-100 kph (0-62 mph) in 3.1 seconds, 0-200 kph (124 mph) in 8.7 seconds.
The Agera is powered by an in-house developed 5.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine which produces 940 hp (701 kW) at 6900 rpm and 1,100 N·m (810 lb·ft) of torque at 4000 rpm. Total weight of the engine is only 197 kg (434 lb) thanks to a carbon fiber intake manifold and the aluminum construction. The transmission is a 7-speed dual clutch with paddle shifters. It is the first dual clutch transmission to feature only one input shaft. The second clutch slows down the input shaft during up shifts in order to reduce the time it takes to synchronize the next gear, resulting in faster shift times. Most notably, the transmission weighs only 81 kg (179 lb).

Saleen S5S Raptor

The Saleen S5S Raptor is a sports car revealed by Saleen, Inc. on March 20, 2008 at the 2008 New York International Auto Show.
The Raptor is intended to be equipped with a 5.0-liter supercharged Saleen engine (similar to that used on the 2008 S302E) which will yield 650 hp. This will allow it to accelerate to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds or less and complete the quarter-mile in 10.9 seconds. Expected retail price is $185,000, roughly $400,000 less than the S7.
Development has stopped as a result of the 2008 recession, and the future of the project is uncertain.

The BMW i8, first introduced as the BMW Concept Vision Efficient Dynamics, is a plug-in hybrid under development by BMW. The initial concept car was unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, and the BMW i8 concept car destined for production was unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. The i8 has a 7.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack which delivers an all-electric range of 35 km (22 mi).
In 2010 BMW announced the mass production of the Concept Vision Efficient Dynamics in Leipzig beginning in 2013 as the BMW i8. The i8 is part of BMW's "Project i" and will be marketed as a new brand, BMW i, sold separately from BMW or Mini. The BMW i3 and the BMW i8 will be the first models available from 2013. Other i models will follow.

Lotus Elise

The Lotus Elise is a two seat, rear-wheel drive, mid-engined roadster conceived in early 1994 and released in September 1996 by the English manufacturer Lotus Cars. The car has a hand-finished fibreglass body shell atop its bonded extruded aluminium chassis that provides a rigid platform for the suspension, while keeping weight and production costs to a minimum. The roadster is capable of speeds up to 240 km/h (150 mph). The Elise was named after Elisa, the granddaughter of Romano Artioli who was chairman of Lotus at the time of the car's launch.

Buick Riviera Concept

At the 2007 Shanghai Motor Show, Buick debuted a concept car coupe named Riviera, based on the GM Epsilon II platform. The concept was later shown at the 2008 North American International Auto Show.
It was designed by the Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center (PATAC). The design was inspired by classic Buicks, ancient Chinese artifacts, and modern electronic icons. It includes "icy green" backlighting, Shell Blue body, gull-wing doors, a 2+2 seating configuration, and 21-inch 10-spoke forged aluminum wheels.
Currently, no announcement has been made concerning a revival of the Riviera as a production model.

Giugiaro Ford Mustang

The Giugiaro Mustang is a concept car based on the production fifth generation Ford Mustang that debuted at the 2006 Los Angeles International Auto Show. It was designed by Italdesign Giugiaro under Fabrizio Giugiaro, Giorgetto Giugiaro's son.
The Giugiaro Mustang is powered by the 4.6 L V8 from the Mustang GT, but receives additional power from a twin-screw supercharger. The engine is tuned by Italdesign Giugiaro, fitted with fuel injectors from the Ford GT, and has a larger air intake with 95 mm (3.7 in) mass air meter and a conical air filter. Exhaust flow is improved using an X-pipe and Ford Racing mufflers. The engine produces over 500 hp (373 kW) at 11 psi (0.8 bar) of boost from the supercharger.
The Giugiaro Mustang is equipped with a custom Ford Racing handling package, featuring new shock absorbers, lower springs, and thicker sway bars. These changes also lower the ride height by 1.5 inches (38 mm).

Peugeot Hoggar (concept)

The Peugeot Hoggar was a concept car produced by Peugeot. It was a two-seater off-road vehicle, powered by two diesel engines that drove the front and rear wheels in a four wheel drive configuration. The car principally consisted of a one-piece carbon honeycomb body reinforced by two upper longitudinal roll-over bars completed from stainless steel, each with a diameter of 76 mm (3.0 in). These tubes also served as an air intake and air conduit to the front engine (left-hand tube) and rear engine (right-hand tube). Both engines displaced 2168 cc and produced power of around 180 bhp (134 kW). The two engines consequently supplied a collective power of nearly 360 bhp (268 kW) and a maximum torque of 800 N·m (590 lb·ft).
The name would later be used by Peugeot on a production pickup variant of their front engined, front wheel drive Peugeot 207.

Mazda Taiki Concept

The Mazda Taiki is a one-off concept car produced by Mazda, and is the fourth car in Mazda's 'Nagare' design series. Mazda says the Taiki "reflects one possible direction for a future generation of Mazda sports cars aimed at helping to create a sustainable society".

Drivetrain

The Taiki uses a front engine, rear-wheel drive layout and is powered by Mazda's next generation RENESIS rotary 16X engine, which is mated to a 7-speed, double-clutch gearbox. The 16X engine is said to replace the RX-8's 13B engine. The Taiki is named after Taiki Endo.

Exterior

The exterior design is inspired by flowing robes and carp streamers. The Taiki has scissor doors and a very impressive drag coefficient of 0.25. Even the wheels and tires were designed with aerodynamics in mind.

Interior

The interior colours are inspired by Yin and Yang. The driver's side of the cabin is black, while the passenger side is white.

Nissan 370Z

The Nissan 370Z (known as the Fairlady Z in Japan) is a sports car manufactured by Nissan Motors. It was announced on October 29, 2008 and was first shown at an event in Los Angeles ahead of the 2008 Greater LA Auto Show, before being officially unveiled at the show itself. The 370Z is the sixth-generation of the Nissan Z-car line, succeeding the 350Z.
- Almost every piece and component of the 370Z has been redesigned from the previous model (350Z). It is powered by the VQ37VHR 3.7 L (230 cu in) DOHC V6 with Variable Valve and Lift Control and produces 332 bhp (248 kW; 337 PS). Power delivery to the rear wheels comes through a new 7-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters or 6-speed manual transmission which features the world's first synchronized down shift rev-matching system, SynchroRev Match. The SynchroRev Match system is only available with the sports package. The differential offered with the Sport Package is indicated to be a viscous limited slip differential.
Compared to the 350Z, the 370Z has a wheelbase 4 in (100 mm) shorter at 100.4 in (2,550 mm) and an overall length 2.7 in (69 mm) shorter at 167.1 in (4,240 mm). The overall width has been increased by 1.3 in (33 mm), the rear track by 2.2 in (56 mm), and overall height reduced by 0.3 in (7.6 mm). The smaller exterior dimensions and use of more lightweight materials help reduce weight. (Although it should be noted that a 2003-2005 base model 350Z is actually lighter than the 370Z). The 370Z features a front aluminum subframe, aluminum-alloy engine cradle, aluminum door panels, an all-aluminum hood, and an aluminum hatch.
Front body torsion rigidity is improved by 10 percent with an extensively revised body structure which includes a new front suspension cradle to reduce front body lateral bending, new rear structural reinforcements, and an underbody "V-bar" to help reduce rear lateral bending. Additional enhancements include the use of a carbon fiber composite radiator housing and strengthening of the rear fender and hatch areas. Rear body torsion rigidity is improved by up to 22 percent and rear body vertical bending rigidity is improved by up to 30 percent. The new structure weighs slightly less than the 350Z.
The coefficient of drag is 0.30 and 0.29 with the Sport Package, figures identical to the 350Z. Nissan has also changed the clutch and brakes of the 350Z for the 370Z. The brakes have been changed from the more expensive Brembo racing brakes to Nissan branded brakes which are manufactured by Akebono.
